The first level provides a defined infrastructural support to optimize degraded system performance and ensure compliance. Technical activities include evaluating database systems, analyzing system health, assessing system parameters, performance optimization, and security through audits. The second level focuses on specialized support for the necessary data or infrastructure transformation. This service may include data architecture design, database design, system or data migration, DBMS and repository updates, as well as defining and testing backup and recovery strategies.

Betacom’s DBA support service is designed to provide continuous and specialized assistance, with the goal of monitoring and maintaining system efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle. Each service is customized based on the client’s specific objectives and includes three levels of support.

The first level is the reactive service, which focuses on managing and resolving incidents for database infrastructures. This level includes frequent and common database administration activities, with direct support for end users and development teams. Technical activities include incident analysis, root cause determination, creation and extension of database objects, as well as user management and handling of locked sessions.

The second level provides a day-by-day service, covering all activities necessary for the daily maintenance of the DBMS. This level is essential for preventing unmanaged incidents and ensuring data integrity. Technical activities include monitoring physical and logical resources, logical allocation of the DBMS, backup and recovery activities, and overseeing scheduled jobs and critical processes.

The third level provides a proactive service, essential for identifying and preventing potential causes of degradation that cannot be detected by basic administrative support tools. This level requires a high degree of technical expertise and analytical skills to help clients understand the implications of business volume changes. Technical activities included at this level consist of capacity management analysis, performance tuning and analysis, and compliance and security threat analysis.
